Your Opportunity:

Are you seeking a meaningful opportunity to apply analytics in practical and innovative ways to improve Cancer Care? The Cancer Surveillance & Reporting team is currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join our dedicated Cancer Care team. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting data-informed decision-making across program areas, public health initiatives, and clinical research. Your work will directly contribute to advancing cancer detection, diagnosis pathways, treatment, survivorship, and palliative care—all grounded in world-class research and comprehensive evaluation. You will collaborate with leadership, health professionals, and clinician scientists on high-impact projects, including the evaluation of cancer diagnosis pathways and care programs. A key part of this role is engaging with interdisciplinary teams that include non-technical staff—so the ability to communicate technical concepts in clear, accessible language is critical.

Description:

As a Senior Analyst, you will work closely with senior consultants, health professionals, and other stakeholders to provide analytic support, design and evaluate cancer diagnosis pathways, and assess care programs. You will not only analyze data but also design valid studies and evaluations, carefully considering implementation realities and minimizing bias or uncontrolled confounding. This requires a high degree of creativity and strategic thinking, particularly in identifying appropriate data sources and crafting feasible, evidence-based approaches to complex health system challenges. In addition to statistical analysis, you will lead the design and planning of evaluation studies, collaborating with clinical teams and subject matter experts to ensure that analyses are both meaningful and actionable. You will regularly communicate insights through presentations, dashboards, and written reports, making strong communication skills and the ability to tailor messaging to non-technical audiences essential.
