Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (ACMLT).
Additional Qualifications:- Applicants must have completed training in a recognized training school for Medical Laboratory Technologists and currently be registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta. - A minimum of 3 years technical laboratory experience is required. - Knowledge and/or training in Anatomical Pathology is required. - Computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Knowledge of and training in quality management and improvement principles is an asset. - Candidate must be well organized and flexible. - Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a group setting is essential. - Must possess the ability to promote positive working relationships both within the department and with other healthcare providers. - Demonstrates and promotes the AHS values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Safety.
