Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Qualifications:Five years current experience in a related clinical laboratory area is required. Previous experience with the Sunquest Laboratory Information Systems and general computer applications is required. You are an organized, independent worker and strong team player committed to providing quality patient care. You have maintained up to date technical skills and knowledge of current methodologies and/or instrumentation within your area. You demonstrate excellent problem solving, decision making and troubleshooting skills. You are approachable and reliable. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build and maintain relationships, facilitate teamwork, resolve conflict and manage change and resources. You have proven reliability, initiative and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of two years of recent supervisory experience is preferred. Core Lab experience within the last five years is preferred. Experience operating the following analyzers is preferred: Stago Compact, Ortho Diagnostics Vitros 350, Beckman Coulter Access 2, Beckman Coulter HmX and LH500 Hematology analyzers.
