Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Evidence of CSMLS certification may be required. Current experience in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine required. Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. Excellent public relations and a service-oriented manner are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, inter-disciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast-paced, and changing environment. Proven analytic and problem solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Meditech LIS experience and knowledge is preferred. Medical Terminology and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Current phlebotomy experience preferred.
