Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Able to work with exposure to chemicals and gloves. Chemicals may include but not limited to formalin, xylene, bleach.
Preferred Qualifications:Anatomic Pathology experience in a clinical setting within the past 10 years. Experience within the last 2 years preferred. Experience grossing up to level IV. Basic LIS and Microsoft computer skills. Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required (i.e. more than 75% of time on the job. Experience with performing and assessing special stains would be an asset.
