Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Assistant certificate or Medical Laboratory Technologist diploma from an educational institute within Canada satisfactory to APL or MLA certification through CSMLS. Proficiency in data entry. Recent experience in a hospital setting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs. Working knowledge and problem-solving knowledge of Cerner Millennium. Any Canadian equivalency to English 30 or 33 or CLBA score of Benchmark 8 completed within the last six months.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in an Urban RRL setting. Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and equipment. Working knowledge of Flu/Covid testing is an asset. Experience in Transfusion Medicine and Technical Lab are assets. Courses/certificates in personal leadership development. Courses/training in process improvement or change management. Ability to work in a multi-disciplined/skilled environment with minimal supervision.
