Your Opportunity:

Team Lead – Communications & Collaboration Technologies is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager CCT in operational matters for service area that will span three primary services and a $5M operating budget. This is a unique position within AHS with a demanding scope focused on the convergence of communications technologies including Contact Centre as a Service and Mobile Communication Systems. Aligned with the organizational priorities of AHS, the successful candidate will develop and implement a clear vision and direction for Collaboration and Communications Technologies within AHS, based on the vision of “Quality Care Anytime Anywhere”. Creating a culture of excellence and empowerment, the Team Lead will work within a strong medical-administrative/information technology dyad structure, collaborating to make decisions and provide strategic recommendations based on AHS vision, mission, and values. Using exceptional and demonstrated leadership skills in this field, the Team Lead will ensure that program operations support a patient-focused environment. This position provides a unique opportunity be a part of leading a team of 10 comprising of senior and junior professionals who are located throughout the province. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications & Collaboration Technologies, this role requires extensive management and strategic experience in a complex healthcare environment. The Team Lead, Collaboration and Communications Technologies is accountable for: the oversight of CCAS platform with over 50+ CCs in place managing operational support/ and assist with strategic direction for Mobile Communications Systems developing, evaluating, and implementing strategies and operational plans to meet the goals of Technology Services Aware of external factors and trends, will identify challenges and opportunities for service delivery.

Description:

Team Lead will assist building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including public agencies, government, boards, committees, AHS leaders, medical staff, employees, and other partners. This role will provide indirect leadership to a diverse group of professional and nonprofessional occupational groups encompassing both unionized and non-unionized staff. This role will assist directly and in-directly developing staff by creating and maintaining an environment that fosters learning, team collaboration and professional development. The Team Lead will manage day to day financial, human, capital, and equipment resources, showing responsible stewardship and linking resource management to organizational strategic goals and policy objectives. The Team Lead manages, organizes and coordinates contact center programs and projects. The position is responsible for the strategic guidance of teams and project managers to promote the customer care culture for contact centers as well as oversight of the progress of current initiatives. These projects and initiatives are instrumental in transforming the way AHS serves Albertans today. The position is responsible for helping develop efficient corporate strategies and tactics focused on improving customer and analysts’ experience while gaining continuous operational efficiencies, alignment to AHS Technology Services strategic goals of optimizing operations and strengthening the foundation. The position is accountable for assisting with vendor and contract management supporting the contact center platform and Mobile Communications systems The Team Lead is responsible for providing input into the AHS Technology strategic and capital plans.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or IT administration, healthcare administration, or related field. A minimum of 6– 10 years in a senior management role related to delivery of healthcare IT services in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development with a proven track record in healthcare based leadership.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities. Effective communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Fosters team development by coaching with the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals while assessing options and implications. Proven ability to manage diverse human, financial, and physical resources. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Clinical experience in the delivery of virtual health services would be considered an asset.


Preferred Qualifications:

5 -8 years’ experience working in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated ability to deploy collaboration & communication/transformational tech and programs within a complex healthcare setting. Capacity for frequent travel across Alberta. Detailed knowledge of Alberta’s rural and urban communities. Experience and working knowledge of Contact Centre systems. Experience and/or certification with Genesys Contact Centres platforms and the Vocera Communication System would be considered an asset.
