Cloud and Digital Workspace Services supports the deployment of cloud software solutions to AHS and affiliate organizations. We are dedicated to leveraging advanced cloud technologies to drive business success and enhance user experience. The primary function is operational cloud infrastructure support using Defender for Cloud and Defender for Cloud Apps. The Senior IT Analyst will collaborate with clients seeking technical solutions to business problems and stakeholders across IT considering cloud deployments for new and existing technologies. This role is accountable for providing technical solutions and support across multiple platforms and systems (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS and others), ensuring systems are supported and stable by responding to incidents and monitoring system health. Description:
Conduct in-depth analysis of system issues, determine impact, coordinate with stakeholders to identify root causes and operational effects. Develop and implement interim fixes while working towards long-term solutions for system stability. Understand business requirements, explore alternatives, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches. Manage vendor relationships to coordinate problem resolution. Evaluate system changes and lead implementation, including reviewing technical release notes, adhering to change processes, developing testing plans, and coordinating with business areas. Explain complex issues and build consensus on preferred solutions. Respond to customer inquiries based on AHS guidelines and policies. Communicate IT strategy implications to customers. Provide recommendations based on best practices, industry standards, current environment, business requirements, and organizational policies. Assess technical requirements and design appropriate solutions. Create implementation work plans, assign activities, and oversee or carry out the work. Track activities against the project schedule, provide regular reports, monitor costs, timescales, and resources, and act when deviations occur. Monitor system performance, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable insights for informed decisions. Maintain and update system documentation. Create, update, and manage support tickets. Stay abreast of industry products, features, and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance and user experience. Participate in training sessions and share insights with team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with vendors to understand product roadmaps and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Provide expert-level support for complex troubleshooting issues. Contribute to the development of IT standards and best practices.

Completion of bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology related discipline or equivalent. Minimum five years of related technical work experience. Two years of experience supporting cloud technology operations in a large enterprise environment. Proven experience in Cloud security administration and governance. Proficiency in Microsoft Security and Compliance technologies, including Defender for Cloud, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender XDR, Sentinel and Purview. Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management. Familiarity with application security testing tools and secure software lifecycle. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and vendors. Detail-oriented with a commitment to compliance and documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience in identity and access management with Active Directory and Entra ID. Working knowledge of Microsoft Graph and AI-related security considerations. Experience deploying secure services in an enterprise multi-cloud environment. Project management skills. May require some limited travel to meet provincial stakeholders (if/as needed).
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate or equivalent experience. Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent experience. Ability to lead and motivate. Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and environments.
