Your Opportunity:
Health Shared Services (HSS) is seeking an IT Analyst that has experience and expertise with Clinical Critical Messaging (CCM) for the role of Senior Systems Analyst – Clinical Critical Messaging. This is an integral position within Health Shared Services' Communication & Collaboration Technologies (CCT) department with a demanding scope focused on healthcare tools that enable fast, reliable communication of urgent information to care teams. Aligned with the organizational priorities of HSS, the successful candidate will be an integral part of implementing CCM solutions. You also will have the opportunity to be involved with the mobile communication system that CCT supports provincially at AHS and existing messaging solutions. The position is a key technical role reporting to the Team Lead, Communication & Collaboration Technologies, Collaboration Technology.
Description:
As a Senior Systems Analyst - CCM, you will research, implement, enhance, and operate HSS enterprise CCM solutions including the development and testing of support solutions. You will plan, prioritize and coordinate work to deliver on commitments made in line with the objectives of IT Technology Services. You will help HSS continuously drive innovation for CCM while providing a best-in-class client experience. You will draw on your ability to work with technology to help develop systems, programs and applications while providing support in a large enterprise environment. You will assist in analyzing client needs and establishing what direction the development process should take while you serve as a system advisor/coach for clients and various stakeholders. You will be required to collaborate with stakeholders in complementary technology fields, both internal and external, with a focus on post-deployment enhancements while providing feedback on the planning, prioritization and coordination of work. You will assist in implementing development solutions or fixes where the ability to manage complexity is critical. Daily CCM support activities include programming and support of all aspects of CCM and third-party applications, integration into key business applications, installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of CCM infrastructure. You will maintain the integrity of CCM architecture including applications, server operating systems and hardware updates and patches.

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 5+ of systems administration or relevant experience. Experience in health services or public sector is desirable. Advanced level knowledge of unified communication technology principles. Application support and maintenance proficiency. Experience managing a database driven system. Solid understanding of basic networking and wireless principles, Windows Server 2019 and newer, and Redhat Enterprise Linux 7.4 and newer. Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2019 and newer. Advanced experience with clinical workflow analysis or process design. Basic understanding of scripting and coding; including using APIs for system integration. Experience with ServiceNow. ITIL Foundation Certification. Highly proficient with MS Office Suite, Sharepoint and MS Teams. Demonstrated success in delivering excellent customer support. Broad knowledge of IT functions. Understanding of the alignment between business requirements and IT solutions from a provincial level. Ability to anticipate internal and external business and stakeholder needs. Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking. Proven experience as a senior resource on projects, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making, coaching, and mentoring.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills across multiple stakeholder groups with competing requirements and objectives. Proven ability to foster relationships and partnerships with highly complex internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including executive.
Preferred Qualifications:
15+ years systems administration experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Expert level knowledge of unified communication technologies. Expertise with clinical workflow analysis or process design. Expertise and experience with scripting and coding; proven experience in using APIs to integrate systems and solutions.
