IT Customer Support II
Your Opportunity:
As a Customer Support II, you will provide advanced technical support to a variety of users across AHS for information technology issues in accordance with AHS standards and practices. In supporting user access and identity management, you will be responsible for access provisioning focused primarily on network storage (Windows File Servers, NetApp and EMC) and SharePoint Online, within a Microsoft Active Directory environment. You must understand and properly enforce the principle of Least Privilege, as well as understand proper usage and implications of explicit and inherited ACEs. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: SharePoint Online permissions, including site permissions, library permissions. File structure and directory services management; File System (NTFS) and Share permissions; Logon script languages and file manipulation (drive mappings); Troubleshooting access problems with network shares: If clients can't access shared media; If clients can't find a shared item; If clients can't open their home/personal folder; If users can't see the contents of a file share; File locking on file servers; Recognize and address storage quota issues. The goal is to give the right access to the right people at the right time. You will work both independently analyzing and offering solutions to requests or incidents and in a team environment under the general supervision of the manager, mentoring and training junior staff members. Ability to assist management with high level escalations, change management process and project support. NOTE: This position can be filled in any part of the province.

Completion of certificate in Computer Support or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of diploma or degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent job experience. 1-2 years’ experience in a Technical Support role. Sound knowledge of PC software, including Microsoft Office, IAM (Identity Access Management), Workstation Operating Systems and Server Operating Systems. Proficient keyboarding skills. Customer service focus and strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving and decision making abilities. Experience assisting users with computer, software and network problems or questions. Experience providing training assistance, or other support over the phone. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:3+ years Support Desk environment. Health Care IT experience. Change Management experience. Project experience. Lean/Process Improvement experience. ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate. VMware Svc. Mgr. Intermediate/Working knowledge: MS DFS; DNS; MS Server OS (2003 - 2016); MS Group Policy Mgmt; LDAP. Scripting languages (PowerShell, Visual Basic, Batch, Kix32); NTFS File Systems.
