Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent. Five years applying progressive knowledge and skill in data engineering, data integration, data warehousing, repositories, business intelligence and analytics; up to date with industry best practices, trends, tools, and methodologies. Experience with leading small teams of developers and administrators, coaching, mentoring and coordinating operations. Proven background of designing and implementing architectural solutions.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Technical skills: Strong technical understanding and hands on experience with relational and dimensional data modeling and architecture principles. Highly competent with structured query language (SQL) and T-SQL or PL/SQL. Deep knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies, particularly for enterprise-wide data architectures, data management, data governance and data warehousing. Creating, tunning and operating ETLs/ELTs to handle data extraction from various data sources (in cloud and on-premises) and various formats. Strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence skills including scalability issues for enterprise level data warehouse. Proficient with data integration tools and languages such as Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, and Python. Able to work in Linux, Windows, and cloud environments. Analytical skills – experience performing system, process, and data analysis; expert analysis of complex systems for problem solving/debugging technical, process or data failures/issues. Communication skills – well developed verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to interact in a team environment; able to write technical documentation and draw models and workflows; able to articulate issues and solutions and adjust tech-speak for audiences; routinely engages and collaborates to achieve consensus; and coordinates work of multiple developers and IT teams to achieve desired outcomes.


Preferred Qualifications:

A strong team player with conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Actively builds and maintains positive relationships. Ability to work with business areas to understand business requirements and develop solutions. Strong technical background in Data Engineering (Data Management, Software engineering and Infrastructure and operations). Self-motivated, focused, independent and productive.
