Your Opportunity:
The IT Analyst II - Data Engineer will work provincially within Data Integrity and Integration (DII), Cancer Advanced Analytics (CAA), Cancer Research & Analytics (CR&A), Cancer Care Alberta (CCA). The efficient use of big data within the healthcare system promises to revolutionize healthcare, improve patient outcomes, and drive the knowledge base of medicine forward through artificial intelligence, machine learning and real-world evidence. As the IT Analyst II, you would be part of a team of technical analysts, data analysts, and subject matter experts that work to support a future-ready, integrated Data Environment for Cancer Inquiries and Decisions (DECIDe) within CCA. As the first of its kind in North America, DECIDe will become the cornerstone cancer data environment in Alberta, enabling streamlined access to real-world cancer data from clinical practice, research, quality improvement and patients in a single data environment. Technical skill, and business acumen, will be essential to the success of the position when looking at gathering end-user requirements, supporting their development, building the infrastructure, and maintaining the environment. This is a grant funded position with a high likelihood of annual renewal.
