Completion of an accredited Instrumentation or Electrician Journeyperson Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Additional Required Qualifications:Well-informed with completing operational tasks, preventative maintenance and use of digital maintenance programs. Experience operating, maintaining, commissioning, installation, monitoring, trouble shooting, analyzing performance, and repairing equipment and systems. Seasoned/Specialized technical/professional experience required with 3 to 5 years' experience in Class 1 powerplant is ideal. Minimum of 5 years of experience in repair, maintenance and operation of a wide range specialized equipment. Considerable use of initiative and judgement involved. Incumbent is allowed considerable use of judgement in solving technical problems arising in day-to-day operations. Knowledge of General Safety Service Act relating to Plant Operations and associated regulations. Writing reports and strong computer skills. Regular lifting of items up to 23 kg (50 lbs.) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Valid first aid would be an asset. Valid fit testing certificate would be an asset. Valid fall arrest and aerial platform training would be an asset.
