Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years continuous/recent Emergency Department experience required. Competency with basic computer skills required. Promotes a positive work environment. Manages conflict effectively. Demonstrates flexibility and reliability. Uses proper channels of communication. Recognizes when to seek assistance. Maintains active participation in meetings and committees, and carries out related committee responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent health related degree and asset. Professional certificates related to area of specialty preferred. Master’s Degree in education or teaching preferred .
