Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:CARNA registration or the ability to obtain. Baccalaureate in Nursing. Current registration in some or all of; PALS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC (COVID expirations will be recognized); confirmed future registration will be accounted as current. Minimum 5 years adult emergency nursing experience obtained in the last 7 years. Ability to perform full duties of an ED staff nurse in all roles as required, including current charge nurse. Connect Care Super User. Previous teaching/staff development and leadership experience. Experience with unit based QI work and large scale implementation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team. Demonstrated ability to promote effective change management. Excellent and positive communication/networking skills. Ability to develop staff potential and provide meaningful feedback. Understanding of adult teaching and learning principles.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters prepared in Nursing. Previous clinician/educator experience. Instructor certification in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC. Simulation experience/WISE simulation facilitator course. Advanced computer skills (ESP, Microsoft applications, Tableau, Connect Care/EPIC support). INFO/CISM training. NVCI training.
