Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

As the CNE you will be required to: Demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrate ability to manage change. Demonstrate time management skills, proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholder. In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required (BN or BScN).

Preferred Qualifications:

Involvement in developing/delivering and implementing educational programs or initiatives an asset. Coaching and mentoring skills. Demonstrated effective collaboration within a team environment. Understanding and application of information and communication technologies. Preferred experience with all Microsoft office applications. Interview process will include a PowerPoint presentation by interviewee.
