Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Preference in hiring will be given to candidates with Day Surgery/PACU experience or candidates with surgical/critical care experience. Work within a team environment and effectively contribute to staff enrichment through education Strong communication skills utilizing a variety of modalities (e.g. verbal, written, computer, active listening) and ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of specific staff, in a timely, concise and accurate manner. Effectively use information and communication technology to improve interprofessional person centered care. Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Display an attitude that conveys respect and dignity of all persons. Independent and shared accountability in a just and trusting culture. Compassionate and caring attitude. Balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:Accredited PeriAnesthesia Nurse Certification. Leadership training. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
