Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing required or equivalency. Current or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Minimum 5 years current experience in pacemaker and ICD monitoring and insertions required. Experience with in-service and program development, implementation and evaluation is required. Experience developing education material is required. Ability to acquire appropriate Advanced Nursing Practice Programs if required. Strong computer skills are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Experienced user of Paceart Optima preferred. Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred. Accredited Critical Care Certificate preferred. Previous CNE experience is desirable.
