Description:
As an Industrial Mechanic, you will perform a wide variety of journeyperson level duties associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in accordance with building codes, blueprints, standards and practices. You will install, maintain, balance, test, troubleshoot and repair of all rotating and rolling stock equipment. In addition, you will perform operational maintenance and repairs using procedures such as vibration analysis and replace or repair defective parts when necessary.

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have 3–5 years of experience in a hospital setting. Must be able to demonstrate fluency in reading and writing in English. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 20 pounds from floor to waist. Must be comfortable working within pediatric population. Must have a collaborative approach within the FM&E team. Must be able to work in a wide variety indoor and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications:Preferred qualifications include current Fall Protection certification, First Aid, and valid Forklift Operator certificate, experience working at heights and operating material-handling equipment safely.
