Required Qualifications:

Community Health Representative Certificate. Current BCLS-HCP and standard First Aid certificate. Experience working in a culturally diverse environment. Experience in health service delivery. Experience with community development initiatives. Demonstrated leadership and group facilitation skills. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated skill in working with groups to effect change.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle in good working order. Please be advised that working some evenings and weekends may be necessary.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in crisis intervention and working with individuals with severe or persistent mental illness is desired (Northern Communities knowledge of Aboriginal culture, history and beliefs). Proficient communication skills in Cree is preferred in communities with mostly Aboriginal population.
