Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Qualifications:Two to three years working in a community based health care setting. Current BLS certification required. Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle appropriate for transporting clients who may require a wheelchair is required. Job Qualifications: Ability to relate to clients with physical and mental health concerns. Time management skills. Able to work well under direction. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Ability to participate as a member of the health care team (as directed). Flexibility to relate to and anticipate changing client needs. Driving knowledge of the City of Edmonton and outlying areas. Well-developed customer service skills dealing with clients and other staff members. Well-developed reasoning and problem solving skills. Well-developed social skills
Preferred Qualifications:Psychiatric Aide or Health Care Aide Certificate preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience working with mental health clientele a definite asset. Experience working with geriatric clientele a definite asset.
