Post-Secondary education (Degree or Diploma) from an accredited institution for Medical Imaging Technology and/or Information Technology. Five to eight (5-8) years’ experience in Diagnostic Imaging or healthcare with working knowledge of application and technical aspects of Imaging Informatics. Preference is for certified imaging informatics professional designation. Understands imaging informatics in the context of the electronic health record. Application depth and knowledge to include HIS, RIS, PACS, VR, and computer hardware. Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging workflow and operational practices, including standards and guidelines in a multi-facility environment is required to understand the systems. Strong analytical skills are required to solve problems unique to Diagnostic Imaging systems.
