A post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business Administration or related area is required. Previous experience in an administrative support role is required. Excellent knowledge of computer software include Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, and Outlook) and Human Resource Management Information Systems (e-People / PeopleSoft) are essential. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Approachable and willing to assist, combined with a strong work ethic. Professionalism and the ability to respond to changing priorities in a busy, detail orientated work environment is essential. Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRMS systems. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience with administrative policies, procedures and standards pertaining to staffing, recruitment classification, employee and labour relations is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
A post-secondary certificate or diploma in Human Resources. Human Resources experience ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred; (healthcare and/or union environment experience is an asset). Experience with reporting. Knowledge of travel, audio visual, room setup. Experience using SharePoint in a professional setting. Experience using iExpense.
