Required Qualifications:

At minimum a diploma in human resources, business administration or related area is required. Recent previous experience in a human resources role, preferably in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare and/or union environment experience an asset). A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Excellent knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resource Management Information Systems are essential. Able to be proactive, strategic and collaborative, while dealing with highly sensitive issues, as well as having demonstrated analytical abilities. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused and commitment to providing quality services. Strong customer service focus with an ability to navigate and resolve complex problems. Professionalism and the ability to respond to changing priorities in a busy, detail orientated work environment. Proven ability to work with stakeholders to achieve goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized environment. Strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to work with others to achieve common goals with internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility to be able to move seamlessly through varied scenarios and competing priorities on a daily basis. Work with a limited degree of supervision within established procedures and practices. Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability as well as patience and flexibility in facilitating stakeholders with processes. Strong team work, organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Adapt when faced with unfamiliar circumstances, new challenges, and changing priorities. Think through issues and offer creative and functional options with developed, specialized knowledge and skills.
