Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Health Promotion, Public or Population Health, Health Education or a related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Change Management Certification i.e. Prosci. Certification and/or demonstrated experience in project management and implementation science. Front-Line Leader Certificate / leadership certification. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a direct supervision/team lead role, leading and mentoring professional staff, with demonstrated ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a community mental health, mental health/ health promotion, health education, public health, and/or community-based program. Experience and knowledge of promotion, prevention, and community development, working from a population public health approach. Demonstrated skills & experience in quality management, and strategic planning, in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge and experience in program design and evaluation. Knowledge and experience in knowledge translation and dissemination. Experience in program capacity building and program implementation at a provincial level. Ability to work at a provincial, systems level with multiple stakeholders. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse population health issues. Broad knowledge of health care, especially Addiction & Mental Health and Population Health. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills; able to apply these skills at multiple organizational levels and especially at a systems level. Advanced computer skills / dashboard software knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Theoretical and practical knowledge of disaster psychosocial methods and disaster is preferred. Familiarity with negotiating and managing contracts and vendor serves is preferred. Experience developing training materials is preferred. Psychological First Aid (PFA) – basic, school, Indigenous and instructor training is preferred. Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR) – basic, school, non-disaster, and instructor training is preferred. AHS HeartMath Instructor is preferred.
