Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Health Promotion, Public or Population Health, Health Education or a related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will bring genuine commitment, enthusiasm and excitement to the team and for the work, along with a minimum of five years of experience in health promotion/population public health and demonstrated expertise in the following areas: Addressing injury prevention, physical activity promotion and/or chronic disease prevention; Developing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluating projects; Building strategic and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners at all levels; Conducting literature reviews, situational analysis and environmental scans; Writing for multiple audiences including internal teams and external partners; Creating resources tailored to diverse audiences; Analyzing and synthesizing information into high-quality deliverables (e.g., reports, work plans, presentations, briefs); Managing projects using Project Management methods, approaches and tools; Building capacity among community groups, educators and healthcare professionals to support community-based health promotion and injury prevention initiatives; Creating environments of collaboration and cooperation, fostering consensus among diverse partners; Promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion through informed, intentional practice; Managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing workload and deadlines; Working independently as an organized, resourceful self-starter; Using Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools’ Rapid Review Guidebook. Skills in navigating and analyzing surveillance dashboards, interpreting public health data and generating insights. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and healthcare data sources (NACRS, DAD, Vital Stats). Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization with the ability to interpret, visualize and communicate data trends to diverse audiences.
