Master's degree in Health Promotion, Public or Population Health, Health Education or a related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:A Master’s degree in a relevant health field with a min. of 5 years of recent experience in AMH. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Operational knowledge and experience with PAMH APU and Mental Health Capacity Building teams. Understanding of etiology of addiction as well as trauma informed, and person-centered approaches. Understands risk and protective factors, recovery-oriented systems of care and social determinants of health. Experience in completing literature reviews and environmental scans to identify emerging trends that will inform and advance best practices, contribute to key messaging and programming. Project management and evaluation experience of complex projects. Ability to be flexible and work independently in a dynamic and changing environment. Proven initiative, sound judgment and accountability skills. Ability to coordinate and facilitate large multi-stakeholder meetings. Demonstrated history of working collaboratively and navigating competing priorities, complex partnerships and meeting deliverables and timelines. Experience reviewing grant applications, making award recommendations, and supporting community coalition work that aligns with AHS strategic priorities. Working knowledge of Alberta’s health care system including relevant AHS programs across the continuum of care. Experience with SharePoint, MS office, Zoom, MS Teams and Social Media tools. Progressive professional and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:Registration with a professional college or association. Experience reviewing applications, making award recommendations, and supporting deliverables. Ability to identify best format and/or technology to convey messaging/ health information to target populations. Demonstrated experience in supporting PAMH community initiatives. Valid driver’s license for occasional travel.
