Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Health Education or a related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven experience preparing strategic internal communication plans that optimize the transmission of information between organizational members or parts of an organization. Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based communication theory and practice. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with deep subject matter experts (health, research, academia, physicians). Keen interest and demonstrated experience preparing communication materials where wording, structure, and design are so clear that the intended audience can easily find what they need, understand what they find, and use that information. Considerable public health knowledge and language mastery are necessary to distill and deliver complex health concepts and evidence in a clear and effective manner to a wide range of audience types. Proven ability with advanced writing, editing, grammar, punctuation and style skills, with a deep understanding of the special requirements of writing for the web and other new media environments. Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver, manager and monitor strategic communication strategies. Working knowledge of the health promotion and health education fields. Demonstrated experience with the development and delivery of health related education and communications programs and services. Effective interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client groups and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Plain Language Certificate is desirable.
