Completion of bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Health Education or a related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working with communities or in a public health setting. Experience in utilizing computer and software on a day-to-day basis. Demonstrates experience/skill in project planning, management, and evaluation. Demonstrates experience/ability to work as part of a team in a health care setting with multiple disciplines. Demonstrates ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Demonstrates experience/exceptional strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Demonstrates experience/ability to work independently with limited supervision. Demonstrates experience/ability to function effectively within a dynamic work environment. Demonstrates experience/ability to show leadership in the community throughout projects. Evidence of superior interpersonal and communication skills, community development program planning, advocacy, public relations, and social marketing skills. Demonstrates experience and good understanding of health promotion and determinants of health, including theory, knowledge and practice. Demonstrates experience in organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience with community-based health promotion initiatives and strategies, demonstrated ability and understanding of program development, development and/or implementation of health promotion/wellness programs. Partnership and relationship building. Knowledge, Experience, and understanding of Indigenous Culture and Ceremony required. Ability to speak and understand Cree language is an asset.
