Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide, along with proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Non-violence crisis intervention (NVCI) course. Demonstrated proficiency with computers (i.e., Connect Care, Microsoft Office including emails). Must consistently demonstrate AHS’ core values. Minimum one year experience within the last five working in some capacity with children. Experience working on NST supported units. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team. Previous experience in a health care environment. Ability to work under time constraints, within fast paced changing environments. Ability to communicate fluently both verbal and written in English. Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Previous experience in working with mental health and/or eating disorder patients.
