As a member of our Nursing care team, the Health Care Aide will demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our clients and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to competently provide direct client care. Client care may include assisting clients with activities or daily living, treatments and treatment plans and other nursing team related activities. The Health Care Aide responsibilities include providing basic nursing care to resident as an unregulated worker under the supervision of t Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in accordance with the resident care plans, policies and procedures. Assists in providing a clean and safe environment. Monitors resident progress and reports relevant information to the RN in a timely manner. Monitors and participates in care plan implementation as directed. Following demonstration of competence. Mannville Care Centre celebrated 100 years of healthcare in the community and is now home to 22 residents and approximately 50 staff with a doctor's clinic on site. Mannville is a unique Canadian community with a population of approximately 765 and is nestled in Alberta's heartland. Located on the junction of Highway 16 and secondary Highway 881 we are situated 83 kilometers west of Lloydminster and 181 km east of Edmonton. Surrounded by scenic river valleys and beautiful rolling fields, Mannville provides a picturesque view of rural Alberta.
Description:
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work as a collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team, providing personal assistance by supporting activities of daily living and delivering support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short term assistance or ongoing support, in accordance with the patient care plan and facility policies and procedures. In this role, you will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers across the continuum of care in home, community, and health care facilities. You will assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs; assist with organized activities or programs; and observe and report on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing. Working under the supervision of a regulated health professional, you will assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while supporting effective communication with patients and health care professionals.
