A Post Secondary Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geomatics, or equivalent certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships. Advanced skills using GIS platforms including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcPro, ArcGIS for Enterprise, and FME Desktop. Strong database management skills including SQL Server.
Additional Required Qualifications:
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will possess most of the following: Demonstrate 5+ years direct work experience performed in a health, municipal or public safety (or similar) environment. Strong problem-solving skills, time management skills, the ability to complete tasks with minimum supervision, and adapt to changes in priority. Experience with Python and R. Business savviness and the ability to explain/translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a knack for writing technical procedural documents. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate or Master’s degree in a related field. Demonstrate 10+ years of pertinent work experience performed in a health, municipal, or public safety environment. Experience working with Hexagon Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) technologies. Experience working in a large/complex organization. A combination of education, skills and experience may be considered.
