Master's degree in Genetic Counselling. Board Certification or eligibility with either the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) or the American Board of Genetic Counsellors (ABGC).
Additional Required Qualifications:Expertise in analyzing and accurately interpreting complex genetic, genomic, medical, and family data to support diagnosis in patients with suspected genetic conditions. Recognized strength in relationship management, including experience establishing and sustaining collaborative professional relationships within shared-care, multidisciplinary teams. Proven ability to participate productively in team environments, with clear understanding of own role and the roles of others, while actively seeking, respecting, and considering diverse perspectives and expertise. Demonstrated emotional self-awareness and self-management, with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills that support shared understanding and effective collaboration. Experience contributing to organizational change, including helping to build a shared vision, identifying risks, developing and adapting processes and workflows, contributing to goals and performance measures, and fostering a positive team environment through feedback, recognition, and peer support.
Preferred Qualifications:Extensive experience in prenatal genetics, including counseling for abnormal ultrasound or screening results, family history, and carrier screening. Demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex genomic testing in a fetal context. Strength in clinical leadership, mentoring, program development, and quality improvement. Experience with virtual care and EMR systems is an asset.
