Master's degree in Genetic Counselling. Board Certification or eligibility with either the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) or the American Board of Genetic Counsellors (ABGC).
Additional Required Qualifications:Expertise in analyzing and accurately interpreting complex genetic, genomic, medical, and family data to support diagnosis and care planning for pediatric patients. Recognized ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships within multidisciplinary teams, including understanding the roles of other professionals and valuing diverse perspectives. Demonstrated emotional self-awareness, self-management, and strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, and problem solving. Proven experience contributing to organizational change, including building shared vision, identifying risks, developing workflows, supporting goal setting and performance monitoring, and mentoring colleagues. Ability to foster psychological safety and inclusivity in both clinical and team settings. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice, and applying feedback to support growth at individual, team, and system levels.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with genomics-based research and rare disease networks, particularly in diagnosis and counselling. Experience providing inpatient genetic counselling. Demonstrated interest and skill in teaching and supervising learners. Proficiency with videotelephony for clinical care and education. Experience in quality improvement, innovation, program development, mentorship, and cross-provincial care alignment.
