Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Master’s degree must be from a one of the following: Social Work, Psychology or Nursing. Social Workers must be authorized by their college to perform psychosocial interventions. Must be fully registered with the relevant professional body in accordance with the Health Professionals Act. Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s mental health. Strong assessment, formulation, diagnosis and treatment sills. Training and independent experience using the DSM-V. Ability to effectively case manage and provide service within a brief, episodic model of care. Commitment to Client and Family Centered Care. Ability to work as a member of the team as well as independently. Ability to take initiative & demonstrate reliability and flexibility. Excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills. Adherence to AHS policies, including Information & Privacy. Please Note: There are 2 positions available.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience (within the last 3 years) in a Child & Adolescent community mental health setting at a minimum of 0.5 FTE. Demonstration of formal ongoing learning in evidence based treatment modalities related to child & adolescent mental health within the last 2 years.
