One or both of the following with a minimum 5 years’ experience in Facility Operation and Maintenance: 3rd Class Power Engineering Certification. Journeyman Certification in a Building Trade (preference to Plumber/Steamfitter or Electrician certification).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years previous leadership experience (preference to Facility operations and maintenance in a healthcare environment). Knowledge of Building Code requirements for a Health Care institution. Knowledge of the Alberta Fire Code and Alberta Building Code.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership / Management / Communication training. Previous Healthcare experience. Advanced knowledge of engineering and management methods and procedures. Good knowledge of computer applications and programs. Knowledge of institutional facility infrastructure, systems and operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience or knowledge of Steam heating plant operations.
