Required Qualifications:

One or more of the following is required: P. Eng. with specialization in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Journeyman Certification in a Building Trade with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Technical diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Technology with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Healthcare Facility or Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Operation and Maintenance.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of recent hospital construction / maintenance experience required. Must have advanced knowledge of engineering and management methods and procedures. Must have good knowledge of computer applications and programs; Microsoft Office programs. Advanced knowledge of site infrastructure and departmental procedures / operations in healthcare facility. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be creative, adaptable, and must possess good practical knowledge and well developed analytical and problem solving skills. Must possess excellent leadership and management abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

FMP (Facility Management Professional) or CFM (Certified Facility Manager) certification would be considered an asset. CET certification would be considered an asset. PMP certification would be considered an asset. Experience in commissioning of healthcare facilities will be considered an asset.
