Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of progressive, diverse healthcare leadership experience in a health care organization of significant size, complexity & diversity. Evidence of knowledge related to rehabilitation, neurosciences, & vision needs & services across the care continuum. Demonstrated clear pattern of progressive professional & personal development. Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal. Able to achieve objectives & drive to results. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change in areas without operational control in a large organization, preferable on a provincial scale. Successful leadership experience & advanced skills in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring & evaluation. Experience in leading senior level research projects or teams, expert level analysis, & developing complex reports to disseminate results. Highly effective communicator at high administrative levels within AHS with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client focused orientation & commitment to providing quality services. Experience in initiating and fostering positive relationships and productive partnerships with key internal & external stakeholders.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Identify risk potential of projects & initiatives throughout the breadth & depth of AHS and bring these to attention of SCN and put forward effective mitigation strategies for such risks. Proven abilities in complex problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Recognized as a Leader with successful experience in strategic human resource management & development. Considerable skill is needed to balance diverse and occasionally conflicting, stakeholder interests. Experience and expertise in facilitating presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge Presentations are often to persuade or influence. Knowledge & demonstrated application of business planning, modeling concepts, program/project management theories, principles & practices. Uses strategic thinking taking into account AHS & AH’s long-term goals assessing options & implications. Leadership skills including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, mentoring, teaching, inspire & build confidence in others. Ability to lead change & create innovative solutions for complex & diverse issues. Ability to foster a climate of collaboration and cooperation amongst and builds solid relationships with public agencies, government, boards, committees & other stakeholders/partners. Experience in resource management including planning & budgetary accountability.


Preferred Qualifications:

A Graduate degree in health care management, business administration or related rehabilitation field is preferred. An individual with a rehabilitation background is preferred and work experience in the neurosciences and/or vision care is highly preferred. Management experience is an asset. Experience working with Neurosciences, Rehabilitation & Vision services preferred.
