A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare profession, or related field . A minimum of 8-10 years in a senior management role related to delivery of health services in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development with a proven track record in health leadership. Clinical experience in the area of Addiction and Mental Health would be considered an asset

Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities. Effective communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Fosters team development by coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals while assessing options and implications. Proven ability to manage diverse human, financial, and physical resources. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years’ experience in a population or community health setting. Capacity for frequent travel across broad geography to engage stakeholders and participate in key leadership events. Detailed knowledge of Alberta’s northern communities. Current resident or willing to relocate to northern Alberta.
