The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or related designation (e.g. MHRM, SHRM-SCP, etc.) is required. The successful candidate brings at least ten (10) years of progressive experience in human resources, including at least three (3) years in a senior leadership role, and is experienced in providing strategic human resources advice to executive leaders. This person has experience in healthcare or public sector, including managing diverse partnerships and relationships within a large, multilayered organization. This individual also brings experience leading culture development and workforce planning within a new/evolving organizational structure.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, including comfort with decision-making and exercising sound judgement. Demonstrated ability to develop organizational strategy and planning. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, manage change, and create innovative solutions to achieve positive results. An ability to manage resources in a complex environment. Ability to influence, negotiate, and mediate resolutions to complex situations, with the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Superior communications skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences, including interpersonal and public relations skills. Proven ability to foster partnerships to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to model innovation and creativity. A proven record of engaging in ethical conduct.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree is preferred. Demonstrated success in managing and leading personnel and projects within a growing, dynamic, and complex hospital system is highly desirable. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with current experience in Alberta’s health system.
