Completion of Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology or completion of Environmental Technology Certificate/Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of one year experience in Environmental Microbiology technique with a focus on application to water testing is required. Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures, quality systems, quality control procedures is required. Good manual dexterity and familiarity with computer systems required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to identify priorities and to work independently and in a team environment are required.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of courses related to molecular biology or knowledge of molecular based testing and procedures is an asset. Knowledgeable in WHMIS and MSDS information. Strong team player. Possess strong customer service skills.
