Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of a computer including Microsoft Office. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs of force.

Additional Required Qualifications:

A grade 10 education is essential. Must be physically fit, able to follow written and oral communication in English and demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships. The ability to work with minimum supervision is required. An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references, as well as the ability to communicate with co-workers and the general public in a pleasant and courteous manner. Please note, this facility provides Long Term Care (LTC) or Designated Supportive Living (DSL) services and by Order of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, many AHS employees are restricted to work only at a single LTC/DSL site for the remainder of the pandemic. Speak to the hiring manager who will confirm if, as the successful candidate in this position, you will be restricted to work at only one LTC/DLS site in Alberta.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent hospital or nursing home housekeeping experience is preferred. Essential job tasks require standing for long periods of time, upper body push/pull movements, waist level lifting, hand movements that require wringing and wiping motions, frequent gripping of equipment and visual sharpness.
