Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of a computer including Microsoft Office. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 22 lbs of force.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy loads (up to 22.5kg), able to push/pull wheeled heavy carts (up to and occasionally exceeding 225kg), squat, bend, climb ladders, reach in all directions (overhead work required) and stand/walk for long periods of time. Previous hospital cleaning experience and knowledge of hospital equipment and procedures. Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, able to follow oral and written instruction. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of AHS systems (Insite, MyLearningLink, e-people, My Safety Net). Current WHMIS certification. Must be dependable, thorough and be able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with previous Environmental Services experience at AHS. Strong computer skills an asset.
