Maximum Salary: $23.67

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Responder or Primary Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Emergency Medical Responder. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six (6) months prior to the application date.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Applicants not employed with AHS must provide a Drivers Abstract that is satisfactory to AHS and have no more than 6 demerits. Applicants not employed with AHS must provide a Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector check to AHS Human Resources to prior to commencing employment. Applications may be shared with AHS EMS recruitment teams from communities other than the one listed on this posting. Successful candidate must work collaboratively with a patient, their family and members of the patient’s healthcare team, consulting with other healthcare providers when necessary. Must act respectfully in a manner that upholds the patient, coworker and employers dignity, safety, privacy, confidentiality and decision-making; taking into account the patient, coworker and employers rights, needs, culture and environmental context.

Preferred Qualifications:

Please provide a chronological resume and cover letter in PDF format. Minimum 1 year experience working as posted designation in EMS frontline operations. Demonstrate current, relevant experience as an AHS employee working in; Metro EMS, dedicated Intra-facility transport, and Suburban/Rural EMS. Candidates must be qualified to perform full operational duties as of start date.
