Your Opportunity:
The Team Lead (Educator/Quality Assurance) Emergency Communication Officer will review clinical practice through ongoing monitoring, observation, audit, discussion, and feedback. Conduct clinical performance interventions, feedback, and review. Conduct an ongoing review of practice and service delivery providing recommendations for improvement. Support the program positions for Dispatch Services and re-orientation initiative. Support education and evaluation through simulation or other means. Clinical response/call evaluation or dispatch when required. Assist in the development of curriculum and classroom training of new recruits. Create and review documentation for education. Participate in quality assurance activities. Review quality assurance audits with ECOs and complete follow up and education as required. Follow up with trainees completing their practicum.
Description:
As a Team Lead Emergency Communication Officer, you will be the main contact for front-line Emergency Communication Officer staff. Your role will be providing operational support and leadership, following protocols and policies. Additionally, you will assist the Deployment Manager in overseeing emergency and non-emergency EMS requests. Your responsibilities will include ensuring response information is provided, redeploying resources as necessary, and reporting shift issues. Furthermore, you will follow up on deployment decisions, providing context as needed, and manage shift schedules, staff absences, and work assignments.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification; EMD Quality Assurance Certification; EMD Mentor; and Restricted Operator Certificate with Aeronautical Qualification; where the successful candidate does not currently hold the certification, the certification course(s) will be provided upon hire.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience as an ECO. Ability to perform full duties of ECO. Ability to demonstrate professional practice and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous adult education or education teaching experience.
