Required Qualifications:

Alberta Journeyperson in one of the following trades: Electrician, Electronics Technician or Instrument Technician or completion of a two-year diploma of related technology (Electronic Technologist).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Five years’ experience in installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of electronic equipment and systems relating to RF Communications. Have knowledge of PC based equipment, experience with computerized maintenance management software and diagnostic software. Demonstrate technical skills and mechanical aptitude. Demonstrate good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; proven organizational skills. Must be reliable, alert, accurate, and capable of working independently and possess good judgment and initiative. Ability to travel is required, both internally in Alberta as well as out-of-province or country travel required for training purposes. Must possess a valid passport and/or relevant documentation allowing entry into the USA as well as the ability to travel within Alberta and Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

Eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
