Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current CPR certification required. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with patients, families, and other staff. Must have the ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team. Is up to the physical requirements of the job, which include prolonged sitting/standing, pushing/pulling of equipment, assisting with patient transfers, and sustained awkward postures involved in day-to-day work activities.
Preferred Qualifications:Graduation from a formal healthcare program, or equivalent training preferred; however, a Diploma or Degree in another healthcare discipline may be considered for candidates requiring training in performing Nerve Conduction studies. Successful completion of the Board of Registration of Electromyography of Canada (BRETC) examinations preferred. At least 2-3 years' work experience in an acute health care setting is preferred.
