Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Electrician Certificate with Red Seal from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Must hold a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator's Licence.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 Diploma. Must have a minimum of 5 years of Fire alarm testing & Troubleshooting experience. Any Journeyperson Electricians (prior to September 1/1991) must successfully complete the Fire Detection and Alarm Systems course and have the ECAA Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems is required. Must be able to work in a hospital environment and work around traumatic events that occur in a hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current CFAA certification is preferred. Electrical Engineering Technologist at the NAIT/SAIT level an asset. Experience within a hospital environment; with Fire Extinguisher inspections and maintenance; with Emergency lighting Inspections and computer experience is preferred.
