Completion of bachelor's degree in a health or education related field.
Additional Required Qualifications:Current registration with a government accredited professional association (Alberta College of Social Workers, College of Alberta Psychologists etc.). 3 to 5 years of direct clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health with proven experience as a clinical therapist able to offer individual interventions. Knowledge, skills and experience in assessment and DSM-V diagnoses. Proficient in using Windows, E-mail, Microsoft Office (including Excel and Powerpoint) and typing. Completion of Brain Story Certification. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required. Experience with providing capacity-building support to other professionals and families in the form of both consultation and professional presentations. Master’s Degree in Social Work with psychosocial intervention status preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with TeenMentalHealth.org resources. Completion of the Mental Health Literacy Trainings (ie Go-To Educator/Teacher training/ Core training) Experience working with or in a school setting and an understanding of Alberta Learning’s requirements Experience in adult education settings Experience with public speaking Experience with development and delivery of Mental Health resources Knowledge of the inter-relationships between school milieus, community and family systems.
