A minimum of related post-secondary education (i.e. degree or diploma) or equivalent combination of education and experience related to health and safety or relevant credential (i.e. CRSP, CSP, OHN, ROH, CIH, etc). A minimum of 10 years in a health and safety role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners. Success in implementing health and safety strategy within large organizations. Understanding of how employee health, safety and wellness connects to improving patient and family experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Progressive senior leadership experience in a health and safety environment, including five years’ experience in a senior role in health and safety operations. Specialty in related health and safety field - Occupational Health, Occupational Hygiene, Safety, Quality, etc.)
